Day 5: Florence

 

 

Today is free for you to enjoy Florence on your own.

 

 

Day 6: Florence - Tuscany Countryside - Rome

After check-out from your hotel you will be picked up by your English-speaking driver for your transfer to Rome. Your route will take you through the Chianti Wine Region, an area renowned for its natural beauty as much as it excellent wines. A stop at a local winery for a tour of the cellars and a wine tasting can be arranged if desired. Then, you will proceed along the Chianti road to the wonderfully preserved medieval town of Siena, for a chance to stroll the winding streets of this famed city of the Palio race.

Your driver will drop you at your next hotel in Rome at the end of the day.

Day 7: Ancient Rome Tour

Your private guide will meet you at the hotel to take you on a tour of Ancient Rome. Your tour will begin at the Piazza del Campidoglio, in the very heart of Rome. Walking to a terrace nearby, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. You will approach the Forum by the Roman Road used by the emperors of the past for triumphal celebrations, and explore the ruins of this ancient political, religious and commercial center. Finally, visit the famed Colosseum (entrance fees included) and learn the history of the spectacle of gladiatorial combat.

Day 8: Rome Vatican Tour

Today your guide will meet you at the hotel again for your private tour of the Vatican. This tour will take you through the galleries of the Vatican Museums (entrance fees included), home to the most celebrated art collection in Europe. You will see Michelangelo’s incredible frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, and be awed by the regal majesty of the Basilica of St. Peter.

Day 9: Departure from Italy

After check-out from the hotel, our representative will pick you up for your private transfer to the Rome Airport to catch your departing flight.
