Day 1: Board your overnight transatlantic flight.

Day 2: ARRIVAL IN ROME,  ITALY. Time to rest or to start exploring the eternal City. at 6 p.m. meet your Tour Director and traveling companions and leave the hotel for a special welcome dinner with wine in one of Rome's lively restaurants. (D)

Day 3: ROME - POMPEII - SORRENTO - CAPRI. South on the highway of the Sun to POMPEII. Day 5: CAPRI - NAPLES - ASSISI. Speed across the bay to naples for an orientation drive of this lively and colorful city. a smooth drive north through the apennine Mountains brings you to peaceful assisi. Day 6: ASSISI - RAVENNA - VENICE. A scenic drive to Ravenna to visit the 6th century BASILICA OF ST. APOLLINARIS IN CLASSE. Arrive in Venice, a powerful magnet for romantics and art lovers from around the globe. (BB)

Day 7: VENICE. Enter in style by PRIVATE BOAT to meet your Local guide. Highlights of your walking tour are ST. EXCURSION TO FLORENCE. all day dedicated to the cradle of the renaissance, Florence. guided sightseeing includes a visit to Michelangelo's David in the ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS and the magnificent CATHEDRAL, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry's heavy bronze "Gate of Paradise," and sculpture-studded Signoria Square. afternoon for independent sightseeing and browsing through the many shops. Day 10: TUSCANY - SIENA - ROME. Drive through the Chianti wine area to Siena.
