An exciting day to Siracusa the most powerful city of Sicily during the Greek Age. You will visit Neapolis Archaeological Park created in 1952, home of most of Sicracusa' s Greek and Roman monuments.The tour will include the Greek Theater(5th century B.C.), one of the largest and best preserved theaters of the ancient world, and part of the Latomia del Paradiso, one of the ancient stone quarries. The Ear of Denys is an artificial grotto resembling the form of an ear lobe, 190 feet long, and up to 33 feet wide and 70 feet high, gradually narrowing at the top, almost like a pointed arch. It is famous for its exceptional echo, which enabled Denys the Tyrant to overhear the talk of the prisoners he confined in a lower room. You will view the other imposing monuments from a distance. You will be returned to your ship after the tour.
