A program exploring Piedmont.
This region has so much to offer: great scenery, exciting cities and of course the wonderful food and wine. You will stay in the imperial city of Turin, home of the monarchs of Italy. Visit the famous Barolo and Barbaresco wine areas, touring wineries and tasting some great wines. Finish in the sophisticated city of Milan, capital of fashion in Italy.

Day 1 - Arrival and Transfer to Turin
Upon your arrival at the airport you will be greeted by your English speaking guide and you will be driven by a private car from Milan to Turin where you will spend your first two days. After check in at your hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to relax and to start visiting the beautiful city of Turin.
Day 2 - Turin City Tour
After breakfast, your English speaking guide will take you on a tour of historical Turin. You will walk through the most beautiful parts of the city: Piazza Castello, the Baroque Palazzo Madama and the Royal Palace, and visit the Duomo of Turin and the Chapel of the "Sacra Sindone". You will be impressed by the elegance of Piazza San Carlo, where there are the equestrian monuments of Emanuele Filiberto and some of the most important ancient bars and shops of Turin. Finish your walking tour at the Piazza Carignano, where there is one of the most beautiful and ancient theaters.
Afternoon at leisure to enjoy Turin on your own and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3 - Langhe and Alba
Depart with your private driver and guide for a wonderful day in the Monferrato and Langhe regions of Piedmont. Your first stop will be in Asti where together with your guide you will discover medieval towers, churches, baroque buildings and old squares during your walking tour. After the tour you will have time for looking around and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will continue to Alba (30-minute drive), the homeof white truffles, chocolate and sought-after wines. Stroll through the historic centre to admire the imposing late gothic cathedral dedicated to Sr. Lawrence, the several 'case-torri' (tower-houses) built in the 15th century for security reasons, and the small stores selling any kind of delicacy.
Rerturn to your accommodations in the evening.
Day 4 - Acqui Terme and Casale Monferrato
After breakfast with your English speaking guide and driver you will explore the south eastern part of Piedmont, Acqui Terme and Casale Monferrato.
Located on the wine trails of southern Piedmont, Acqui Terme dates back to the time of ancient Romans who regarded its waters as among the best in the whole Empire. Together with a local guide you will visit the historic town centre.
In the afternoon, you will head north to visit Casale Monferrato a beautiful baroque town with plenty of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. In Casale you may also try the Gorgonzola cheese, and the grape mostarda, a jam prepared with the grape must and seasonal fruits to be paired with cheese itself.
You will be transferred back to your accommodations in the evening.
Day 5 - Transfer to Milan
After breakfas your driver will pick you up to transfer you to Milan. On the way a Stop at Castello di tagliolo for a Regional Enoteca for a wine tasting of the famous Piedmont wines.
After the wine tasting you will continue to your next hotel in Milan.
Day 6 - Lake Como Excursion
In the morning your English speaking driver will meet you at the hotel for your full day excursion to beautiful Lake Como. You will enjoy a scenic drive visiting some of the quaint towns that dot the famous lake.
Day 7 - Milan
A free day to enjoy on your own for sightseeing or shopping.
Day 8 - Arrivederci Italia
Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight.

Shortly after your initial contact with our tour designers, you will receive a draft proposal based on your earlier discussions, normally within 2 business days. This proposal is a no obligation draft for your review and comments. Any additions or modifications will be implemented and a new proposal will be forwarded to you for approval.
3) You like what you see!
Upon meeting your requirements and expectations, you will be requested to send a deposit in the amount of 25% of total. Final Payment is due 45 days prior to scheduled departure date.
4) Buon viaggio!
Approximately, 2 weeks prior to departure you will receive a personalized and detailed day by day itinerary booklet and the necessary vouchers for the services to be provided, along with a general information section on the various regions of Italy.
The booklet and vouchers will include all the important information; addresses, phone & mobile numbers for all your service providers, hotels as well as the phone number of our office in Rome.
