Trip Cancellation/Interruption: In the event You are prevented from taking Your Trip because a Terrorist Act occurs in Your departure city or in a city which is a scheduled destination for Your Trip provided: (1) the Terrorist Act(s) occurs within thirty (30) days of the scheduled departure date for Your Trip; and (2) Your plan cost is received within two (2) calendar days of Your deposit or initial Trip payment; the Insurer will pay benefits up to Your total Trip cost for:
Trip Cancellation: non-refundable cancellation charges imposed by Trafalgar Tours; or the additional costs You may incur as a result of a change in the per-person occupancy rate of prepaid travel arrangements if a Traveling Companion cancels his/her Trip for a covered reason and You do not cancel.
Trip Interruption: unused, non-refundable land or sea expenses prepaid to Trafalgar Tours and/or the airfare paid, less the value of applied credit from an unused return travel ticket, to return home or rejoin the original Land/Sea Arrangements (limited to the cost of one-way economy airfare by scheduled carrier, from the point of destination to the point of origin shown on the original travel tickets).
Definition:"Terrorist Act(s)" - means an act of violence, resulting in loss of life or major property damage, by any person acting on behalf of, or in connection with, any organization that intends to overthrow or influence the control of government, and which is declared as such by the U.S. State Department or other appropriate U.S. government agency. A Terrorist Act does not include general civil protests, unrest, rioting, or acts of war.
Accident and Sickness Medical Expense: Under the Preferred Benefits Protection Plan, the Insurer will pay benefits, up to $10,000 if You incur necessary Covered Medical and Dental Expenses as a result of an Injury, or up to $10,000 if You incur necessary Covered Medical and Dental Expenses as a result of Sickness.
Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation of Remains: Under the Preferred Benefits Plan, the Insurer will pay benefits, up to $50,000 for Covered Expenses if an Injury or Sickness commencing during the course of the Trip results in Your necessary Emergency Evacuation. The Insurer will also pay Repatriation of Remains benefits, up to $50,000 for Transportation to return Your body to Your point of origin in the event of Your death during Your Trip.
