Day 1 - Arrival in Milan

Upon arrival in Milan make your way to your centrally located hotel. We can arrange transfers from the airport or train station upon request. Balance of day free to enjoy the city.

Day 2 - Milan City Tour

Our guide will pick you up from the hotel this morning to take you on a half day tour of some of the major sights of the city. The Duomo, Milan's cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world, is a surprisingly elegant mass of marble boasting 135 spires and 3,400 statues. The building began life as a Gothic cathedral, but over the centuries the designs went through several modifications, and the finished Duomo is a strange mixture of styles. Your guide will take you through the church and right up to the roof, from which you can enjoy an up close look at the building's unique architecture and incredible views of the city. From the Duomo, you will continue to the Galleria: Milan's famous shopping arcade that features the biggest names in fashion.You will also visit Milan's famous opera house: La Scala. The Teatro alla Scala was founded under the auspices of the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, to replace the Royal Ducal Theatre which was destroyed by fire on 26 February 1776 and had until then been the home of opera in Milan. Designed by the great neoclassical architect Giuseppe Piermarini, La Scala opened on 3 August 1778 with Antonio Salieri's opera L'Europa Riconosciuta, to a libretto by Mattia Verazi.Balance of the day at leisure.

Day 3 - Excursion to Como Lake

Departure with your driver/escort for a full day excursion to Lake Como. Just half an hour from noisy, bustling Milan, Lake Como is a jewel-like oasis of tranquility and a magical combination of lush Mediterranean foliage and snowy alpine peaks. Your first stop will be the quaint town of Como where you will visit the historical centre(The Duomo, main cathedral, the Broletto, the temple of Volta, the Terragni Palace and the historical old city centre).An optional visit to the Silk museum, very well known worldwide for its high and fine production of silk fabrics is possible.You will then continue on the panoramic route that connects Como to Bellagio, passing through scenic villages such as Nesso, Torno and Lezzeno before reaching Bellagio.In Bellagio you will have free time to take in the atmosphere of the picturesque town and to have lunch in a lake front restaurant.In the afternoon you will cross the lake by ferry heading to Tremezzo(west side of the lake). There is the opportunity to visit Villa Carlotta with its famous botanical garden, rich with a large variety of flowers and several hundred types of trees (the best time to visit is during May and June in the middle of florishing season favoured by the beautiful colours of the flowers and the mild climate). You will then continue the tour descending the lake road and passing through other picturesque villages such as Sala Comacina and Ossuccio, a typical fishing location located just in front of Comacina island(the only island on Lake Como) and Argegno.You will then drive through Cernobbio back to Como and drive back to Milan by highway on the way back to your hotel.

Day 4 - Departure

After checking out of your hotel, depart for your onward travel. Transfers can be arranged for your next point or the airport or rail station or add another of our mini packages.

2) We send you a Proposal

Shortly after your initial contact with our tour designers, you will receive a draft proposal based on your earlier discussions, normally within 2 business days. This proposal is a no obligation draft for your review and comments. Any additions or modifications will be implemented and a new proposal will be forwarded to you for approval.

3) You like what you see!

Upon meeting your requirements and expectations, you will be requested to send a deposit in the amount of 25% of total. Final Payment is due 45 days prior to scheduled departure date.

4) Buon viaggio!

Approximately, 2 weeks prior to departure you will receive a personalized and detailed day by day itinerary booklet and the necessary vouchers for the services to be provided, along with a general information section on the various regions of Italy.

The booklet and vouchers will include all the important information; addresses, phone & mobile numbers for all your service providers, hotels as well as the phone number of our office in Rome.
