Day 1 - Rome

Upon your arrival at the Leonardo da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino), your local English speaking representative will be waiting to welcome you to Italy and escort you to your private car for your transfer to your hotel in the city. The balance of this first day is at your leisure. Relax after your flight or begin to explore the sights of the Eternal City.

Day 2 - Rome of the Caesars

A fascinating trip back to the time of Caesar and the Roman Empire.  With a private guide visit the monuments of Ancient Rome, the Colosseum and the Imperial Roman Forum.   Spend the balance of the day on exploring on your own

Day 3 - Roman Countryside

A beautiful excursion with a private chauffer to the delightful and scenic countryside of Rome.  Here where the ancient Romans once built their summer homes you can visit the towns of Frascati and Castel Gandolfo.  This is also an important wine area where you can find beautiful vineyards and wineries.  In Castel Gandolfo which is also the summer residence of the pope, you will enjoy a wonderful lunch on the panoramic terrace of a local restaurant overlooking Lake Albano.  You will visit the wine cellars and taste some local wines. Return to Rome in the late afternoon.    

Day 4 - Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel

Enjoy the morning visiting one of the most important art collections of the world in the Vatican museum.  With a private guide, you will not have to wait in line to enter.  You will also visit the Sistine Chapel with the magnificent ceiling created by Michelangelo.  End the tour in the largest basilica in the world, Saint Peter;s and its amazing square where thousands of pilgrims come each year to see the Pope give his blessing.  Balance of day free.

Day 5 - Rome - Pompeii - Sorrento

Depart with your English speaking driver for a pleasant day transferring to Sorrento. On the way to Sorrento you will stop to visit the ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii. Together with a local guide you will visit this city which was buried under a thick layer of ash and pumice after the eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., a disaster that nevertheless preserved the contents of Pompeii with fascinating precision. Continue to your next hotel in Sorrento.

Day 6 - Capri, Sorrento

A delightful excursion to the scenic Isle of Capri with a private guide.  You will take the very convenient hydrofoil from Sorrento to Capri.  On the island  you will take a funicular to, the highest point where you will have breathtaking views.    You will continue to the main shopping and restaurant area of the Island where you will have free time to enjoy the relaxed resort atmosphere of this elegant Island.  Return to Sorrento by hydrofoil after your visit.      

Day 7 - Sorrento

A free day to enjoy Sorrento at your leisure.

Day 8 - Amalfi Coast, Sorrento

An amazing driver along the scenic road known as the Amalfi coast with your private chauffer.  You will have many opportunities to stop for wonderful photo’s so do not forget your camera.   You will visit the towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello before returning to Sorrento in the late afternoon.

Day 9 - Departure

After check out from the hotel, our representative will pick you up for your private transfer to the Naples airport for your departing flight.
