This morning your private English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel for
your guided walking tour of the city. Venice’s charm lies both in its
unique civil engineering achievements, and in the harmony of Eastern and Western
artistic styles that have flourished here over the centuries.
Your tour highlights
some of the major sites that define the look and history of Venice, and includes
visits to Doges' Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica and St. Mark’s Square.
After a break for lunch and some exploration on your own, the tour continues with a
Grand Canal Boat cruise. You will glide by the beautiful and imposing palaces
and churches that line the canal, and learn how it has developed over the
centuries into “the most beautiful street in the world”.
This morning you will meet your private guide and driver who will take you for a tour of beautiful Verona. Most commonly known as the setting for Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet, Verona is also a city with a rich history that extends to Roman times.
Your
driver will then take you into the nearby hills of the Valpolicella Wine Region, where you will be treated to incredible views of the enchanting landscape and
stop at a local restaurant for a typical lunch. Your excursion will end at a
local winery, where you will sample the region’s unique wines, including the
famous Amarone. The driver will return you to Venice at the end of the day.
After check-out from your hotel this morning your driver will transfer you to the
rail station for your train to Florence.
You will have first-class rail tickets with seat reservations. The journey
will take two and a half hours on the comfortable Eurostar train.
Upon arrival in Florence you will be met by our representative who will take
you by private car to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.

Florence’s rich past as the cultural center of the Italian Renaissance can still be seen today in the wealth of art gathered here, and the preservation of its splendid architecture. The tour includes visits of the Duomo and the Baptistry, the Piazza della Signori, the Ponte Vecchio, and the celebrated Accademia Gallery.
The afternoon is
free for you to enjoy as you wish.
Today your English-speaking driver will pick you up at the hotel for a full-day excursion into the celebrated Chianti Wine Region, an area as much renowned for its natural beauty as for its excellent wines. A stop at a local winery for a tour of the cellars and a wine tasting can be arranged if desired.
You will then continue on to the Relais Torre Guelfa just
outside of Figline Valdarno, an arcadian oasis in the Tuscan countryside surrounded by vineyards and olive
groves. Here, you will be given a private lesson in the preparation of authentic
Tuscan cuisine by local expert cooks. This evening, after aperitifs at the
Relais, you will proceed to the Torre Guelfa Restaurant where the staff will prepare
a special gala dinner in your honor.
Your driver will return you to your hotel in Florence after dinner.
After check-out from your hotel in Florence you will be picked up by your English-speaking driver for your transfer to Umbria.
Cortona is one of the oldest cities in Tuscany and was founded by the Etruscans whose work can still be seen in the foundations of the town's massive stone walls.
Together with a local guide you will visit is the narrow streets and alleyways of this quaint and historically rich city medieval city.
A typical tuscan lunch at a local restaurant will be included before conintuing to your accommodations in Umbria.
