Naples is the capital of this region, while other important cities are Caserta,
Benevento, Salerno and Avellino. Off the coast are several enchanting islands
including Capri, Ischia and Procida.
The region of Campania faces the Tyrrhenian Sea and includes one of the finest
coastlines in Italy. It is mountainous, broken here and there by valleys
and plains.
