You will continue on a walking tour through the medieval cobblestone streets of Florence, where you will take in majestic palaces and charming shops as you explore some of the city's most noteworthy landmarks: Piazza Signoria, which features the beautiful marble Fountain of Neptune, and the Ponte Vecchio, the only bridge in Florence to have remained fully intact throughout World War II. The Ponte Vecchio is lined by a multitude of shops for you to explore. On your tour, you will also visit the pantheon of the illustrious Galileo, Machiavelli and Michelangelo - the Franciscan basilica Sante Croce. You will end your tour with a visit to the Accademia Gallery of Fine Arts Museum, which houses one of the great masterpieces of all time: Michelangelo's David (along with his unfinished Slaves and a number of other pieces). You will then have some free time to explore the charming streets and shops on your own. Once you have completed your tour of Florence, you will continue on to Pisa. In Pisa, you will begin your tour in the Square of Miracles, which holds space for the city's artful architecture. The Square of Miracles is home to the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Camposanto, and, of course the great bell tower - better known as the Leaning Tower. Your guide will share with you the historical and artistic background of Leaning Tower, one of the great Wonders of the World. Following your tour of Pisa, you will be returned to the port at Livorno to meet your ship.
