You will travel around the surrounding spirituality, which marks the spot where one thousand years ago Saint Romualdo founded the Camaldolense order.

Visiting the quarters of Saint Romualdo will help you understand how the monks once lived (and how they continue to live today), following the Benedictine rule, "ora et labora" (pray and work). You will then visit the other parts of Camaldoli: the monastery and the old pharmacy, where the hermits' lives become part of the community.

To emphasize the importance of these places from an environmental point of view, we will briefly visit the famous and monumental chestnut tree Castagno Miraglia.
