The Archeological Park of Roselle
Departure with driver/host for a half-day guided tour, discovering the excavation site

On this tour you will discover the archeological park of Roselle, a town of Etruscan origins with impressive ruins bearing testament to its past as a great maritime center.

To reach the actual excavation site from the parking area, you will climb uphill along a small path. On the left, the most recent excavations can be seen, while on the right the old road winds upwards.

Continuing to follow the road uphill, you will reach a large fountain with a double basin where the Roman paved road begins. Built in the age of Augustus, it is well-preserved and can probably be considered the ancient Roman road, "Decumanus". Continuing uphill, you arrive at the present fenced excavation site to explore the ruins of the Etruscan town, Roselle.

All of our day trips are available as individual trips, which can be enjoyed on their own or as an addition to one of our sample itineraries. All you have to do is talk with one of our tour staff: Call  1-800-848-8163
