Full Day Chianti Wine Tasting and Lunch
Departure with your English speaking driver for a full day excursion. You will make your way into the scenic Chianti Classico region which is considered one of the oldest wine regions in the world. The landscape is dotted with wonderful Medieval Castles that take us back in time. The Canaiolo grape used in Chianti wines is older than the Romans and was referred to as the Etruscan grape. Your route today will take you to the village of Gaiole in Chianti and the prestigious Castello di Meleto. You will stop at the Castello di Meleto for a tour of the Castle, the wine cellar and a wine tasting with a local expert. You will taste 4 local wines and conclude with a light lunch.After lunch continue your tour of the Chianti with a visit of the beautiful medieval towns of Radda. Return to your accommodations.
