Borghese Gallery

Since the 17th century, many have been invited to view the exquisite collection of paintings and sculptures of the Cardinal Scipione Borghese. This tour of the refined painting and sculpture collection of Borghese Gallery includes a reserved entrance time to the fabulous villa. Your private guide will meet you one hour prior to the entrance time at the Hotel. Drawn from the collection assembled by Cardinal Scipione Borghese in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, the Borghese Gallery includes major works by Raphael, Rubens, Titan, Caravaggio, Bernini, Antonello da Messina and Canova.Housed in the 'casino' (summerhouse) of the Villa Borghese, which was built between 1613 and 1616, the collection was purchased by the state with the villa and its contents in 1902. Recently reopened following a fourteen year renovation program, the architecture and decoration of the gallery create the perfect setting for the magnificent paintings and sculptures.After your visit of the gallery you will walk through the magnificent gardens of the Borghese. Exit at the gates near the Via Veneto where you can return to your hotel or continue sightseeing at leisure.

2) We send you a Proposal

Shortly after your initial contact with our tour designers, you will receive a draft proposal based on your earlier discussions, normally within 2 business days. This proposal is a no obligation draft for your review and comments. Any additions or modifications will be implemented and a new proposal will be forwarded to you for approval.

3) You like what you see!

Upon meeting your requirements and expectations, you will be requested to send a deposit in the amount of 25% of total. Final Payment is due 45 days prior to scheduled departure date.

4) Buon viaggio!

Approximately, 2 weeks prior to departure you will receive a personalized and detailed day by day itinerary booklet and the necessary vouchers for the services to be provided, along with a general information section on the various regions of Italy.

The booklet and vouchers will include all the important information; addresses, phone & mobile numbers for all your service providers, hotels as well as the phone number of our office in Rome.
